First, a little bit about me. I’m a pastor, writer, reader, husband, and home schooling father. My church is in two different prisons in Ionia, MI. I’m not a chaplain. I’m not paid by the state and I minister to the Christian congregation within the prison. I have a congregation just like any pastor on the outside, but my congregation is obviously different. It’s made up entirely of men who are convicted felons. All of these aspects of my life will influence what I read and how I interpret what I read. I have more questions than I have answers, so I expect much of this blog will be a place for me to ponder what I’m reading.
The purpose of this blog is to summarize whatever I’m reading at the time. Each chapter I read will include a synopsis and my thoughts on the chapter. I’m doing this as much for myself as for my readers. My hope is for each post to be less than five hundred words. I expect most posts to be about chapters, but if the chapters of the book I’m reading is less than five hundred words, I may combine chapters.
